Neighborhood Dining in Kansas City

There are many different foods to enjoy in Kansas City, displaying a wide range of cultural influences. Each neighborhood of Kansas City can offer you a unique dining experience.

Downtown Kansas City is home to over 200 restaurants with every type of food you could wish for, from Caribbean at the Mango Room, or dining to jazz music at Majestic Steakhouse, to a great Italian at Cupini’s. You could also try visiting the Kansas City Power and Light District for a great mix of restaurants and night-life including a traditional Irish pub.

You could also try the River Market – best known for fresh produce at the farmers’ market. There are also a number of restaurants here including French cuisine at Le Fou Frog and Ethiopian dining at Blue Nile Café with many other varieties of food in between.

Other great areas for dining in Kansas City include the Crown Center for fun dining establishments; the Westside, home to many Hispanic-influenced dining choices; Westport and 39th Street West offering a great variety in world dining; Crossroads Arts District for an eclectic dining choice, or the Country Club Plaza where you will find top-class eating establishments.
